Join the Trails Subcommittee of the Town of Clifton Park Open Space, Trails & Riverfront Committee, for a guided bicycle ride on Sunday, June 3, 2018, for a 1 p.m. start. Please meet up at about 12:45 p.m. at the Historic Grooms Tavern. Helmets are required for all ages. This will be a casual ride, about 12 to 14 miles in length, with history stops along the way.
This ride is being held in recognition of National Trails Day, and the celebration of the anniversary of the completion of the Erie Canal, and the completion of the newest segment of the Erie Canal Community Connector Trail (the enlarged Towpath Trail within the Vischer Ferry Nature & Historic Preserve), that also reconnects Clifton Park to Halfmoon. Clifton Park Town Historian John Scherer will provide commentary at stops along the way.
Helmets are required for all ages. Light refreshments will be provided.
