The Mohawk Towpath Scenic Byway Coalition is hosting a 2 mile run / 17 mile bike / 2 mile run to the finish. This is a USAT sanctioned event.

Each year the Mohawk Towpath Byway Duathlon attracts top regional multi-sport athletes, as well as recreational runners and bikers. The start, exchange area, and finish are all at Riverview Orchards and the courses are through rural fall foliage lined landscapes along the Mohawk Towpath Scenic Byway. A new timer will be used this year:  GreenLeaf Timing.  Also new this year is a knit cap with a full color embroidered byway logo for the first 100 registered participants.  All participants and volunteers receive a Giffy’s Bar-B-Q chicken dinner post race feed.

Two person teams are welcome: a runner and a cycler.

Awards for overall male and female first place, and first, second, and third place male and female finish in each ten year increment starting with 19 and under.  Awards also for first place male, female and mixed teams.

• Saturday Oct 14 – 4 to 6 PM Packet Pick Up at Riverview Orchards
• Sunday, Oct 15 – 7 to 8 AM Registration and Packet Pick Up
• 7 to 8:15 AM Stage bicycles, helmet, and gear in staging area
• 8:30 AM Race Start
• 11 AM Giffy’s Bar-B-Q dinners ready for post race feed
• After last finisher – awards ceremony and bib drawing.
