Join us outside, in a nearby neighborhood! Bring your kids, grandkids, spouse, neighbor and friends for a fun, "hands-on", educational, Town of Clifton Park Learn-to-Fish Event at the Barney Road Pond, along the east shoreline, just south of the town pool! Drop by when it's convenient!
For the 2nd year in a row, several NYS Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) staff members will be present helping with fish identification, equipment, techniques and education about fisheries management, angling ethics and pond ecology. This is a public, free, sport fishing event, with no freshwater fishing license required if participating in the event. Please feel free to bring your own equipment OR please know you are welcome to borrow poles from the DEC during the 4-hour event!
This family-friendly activity is sponsored by the Town of Clifton Park Open Space, Trails & Riverfront Committee with cooperation by the Clifton Knolls Park District.
