Bicyclists are invited to join members of the Trails Subcommittee of the Open Space, Trails & Riverfront Committee for a guided bike ride on Sunday, June 4, 2017. This ride is held as part of an annual celebration of National Trails Day. The ride will start and end at Historic Grooms Tavern, located at the intersection of Grooms Rd. and Sugar Hill Rd.
Please arrive at 12:45 p.m. to check in, as the ride will begin at 1:00 p.m. The route will cover 10 to 12 miles at a casual pace. The ride features the Erie Canal Towpath to kick-off the bicentennial of the construction of the Erie Canal, and the completion of the new community connector towpath trail. Commentary will be provided by Town Historian John Scherer.
