Town of Clifton Park
The COVID 19 pandemic and NY On PAUSE have created a great deal of hardship for many of our neighbors. The generosity of the many people who have volunteered and donated to the cause of assisting people in our community has been inspiring. The three food drives for the CAPTAIN Food Pantry were very successful and dozens of volunteers have contributed to the Town expanding services for our seniors. In the last several weeks, we have received donations of protective masks from people in our community such as Bin Du, Albany Telugu and the Chinese Community Center of the Capital Region.
The Town has held three public, protective mask distribution events. Hundreds of automobiles have passed through each distribution. We have also distributed thousands of masks to senior housing complexes.
The Town of Clifton Park and the Chinese Community Center of the Capital Region are now partnering to provide a public mask distribution on Saturday, June 13th from 10-12. Volunteers will be at the Clifton Park Senior Community Center on the Clifton Common. Please remain in your vehicle and our volunteers will provide you with masks. As New York State and our community continues the reopening process, we understand the demand for masks will remain strong. We look forward to seeing you on the 13th!
