Town of Clifton Park
The Assessor is responsible for:
- creating an equitable assessment roll to be used to raise revenue to satisfy the Town, County, and School property tax levy;
- satisfying the taxpaying public's questions regarding their involvement and responsibility as it pertains to their property assessments and tax bills;
- qualification of all real property tax exemptions;
- valuation of all new construction and demolition; and
- coordinate tax bills with the Town Tax Collector.
Important Dates:
March 1st | Taxable Status Date – Deadline for all exemption applications |
May 1st | Tentative Assessment Roll is available |
Grievance Day | 4th Tuesday in May |
July 1st | Valuation Day – Final Assessment Roll available |
September 1st | School Tax Bills mailed by the School Districts |
January 1 | Town & County Tax Bills mailed by the Municipality |

NOTICE:
The Assessor’s Office continually data collects information on all improvements made to a piece of property. We are physically out in the field measuring and recording information on these improvements. We are also taking digital photos of all improvements.
