COVID-19 Information for Saratoga County - April 8, 2020

The Saratoga County Department of Public Health today announced that there are 176 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Saratoga County and 11 of those individuals are hospitalized at this time.

Any resident who is in need of assistance to register their home or cell phone for the CodeRED Reverse 911 emergency notification system can contact the Saratoga County COVID-19 Hotline at 518-885-2276 and a representative will help them register.

Yesterday, Saratoga County Sheriff Michael Zurlo released a video to residents urging them to take actions that will help stop the spread of COVID-19.

The video can be viewed here: https://youtu.be/EI4g3LWl0bk

“Now is not the time for social gatherings,” said Sheriff Zurlo. “If you have to go out, go alone only if the reason for going is essential.”

This message comes after recent reports of gatherings in public areas where individuals are failing to maintain proper social distancing. The Saratoga County Department of Public Health, the New York State Department of Health and the U.S. Center for Disease Control are all advising that individuals practice social distancing and avoid gathering in groups. The County Department of Public Health is advising residents to wear masks when they go out in public so that those who have the virus but may not have symptoms do not transmit it to others.
