Saratoga County Department of Public Health has issued the following advisory for businesses and residents in Saratoga County. The purpose of this advisory is to encourage social distancing to combat the presence of COVID-19 within our communities.
“All residents should practice social distancing as it has proven to reduce the transmission of the COVID-19 virus from one person to another,” said Catherine Duncan, Director of Saratoga County Department of Public Health. “Limiting exposure will prevent a spike in cases that would potentially exceed the healthcare systems capacity to treat patients with or without COVID-19.”
Social distancing includes limiting capacity at public and private gathering spaces, expanding the physical distance between peoples to 6 to 10 feet, avoiding shaking hands or exchanging greeting gestures, hold meetings via video or telephone conference when possible.
The Saratoga County Department of Public Health continues to work diligently, alongside New York State agencies, to contain and mitigate the impacts of COVID-19 in the county.
