For several consecutive years the Town of Clifton Park conducted a curbside bulk waste pick-up for the benefit of its residents. The cost to the Town each year is over $100,000 and rising. After a lower participation rate in 2014, it was decided that the Town would provide this free service to residents every other year. The most recent bulk item removal was held in 2018 and it is expected to be offered again by the Town sometime in 2020.
For those individuals that need to dispose of bulk items now, the Town Transfer Station on Vischer Ferry Road accepts some bulk items for recycling and other items for a very reasonable fee and no permit is required. For a listing of acceptable items and the applicable fee schedule please visit the Transfer Station’s section of the Town’s website at www.CliftonPark.org/TownHall/Transfer-Station/
If you would like to donate your items, the Town has a first of its kind partnership with Habitat for Humanity. For information on how to donate your items for reuse visit https://cliftonpark.org/document-center/transfer-station/1799-clifton-park-and-restore-flyer/file.html for all the details. For certain items, Habitat for Humanity will even come to your home in Clifton Park for pick-up
