Through the Stereoscope: Time Machine to the 19th Century. This powerpoint presentation will explore
how the invention of three dimensional photography in the mid 19th century enabled the public to view places and events throughout the world. Most families could aff ord a stereoscope and the inexpensive views, becoming the Television of the 19th century.

Catch the Brass Ring: The New York State Museum Carousel. This powerpoint presentation will explore the history of the State Museum’s 1914 Herschell-Spillman Carousel, and it’s acquisition and restoration by the Museum. Learn about how the carousel developed and how it became a mainstay of amusement park rides, and its animals prime examples of American folk art.
