"We are currently preparing for the previously announced full closure of the Sitterly Road Bridge with the implementation of the full detour this coming Saturday June 18, 2022 at 12 a.m. (midnight) to remove the temporary bridge, demolish the existing structure, and construct the new bridge through Sept. 12.
The detour will be posted with signs and will utilize Clifton Park Center Road, Route 146, Route 9 and Crossings Boulevard.
There will be a pedestrian shuttle service available starting June 18 at 9 a.m., running from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Sunday for the duration of the bridge closure. The shuttle will maintain a continuous loop between two (2) designated signed stops: The intersection of Sitterly Road and the Ellis Hospital Driveway and the intersection of Sitterly Road and Crossing Blvd. Motorists can also expect brief nighttime lane closures with off-peak traffic stops on the Northway (I-87) to remove the existing bridge.
Incidental work will continue through the fall, with alternating one-way daily closures on Sitterly Road as necessary.
The project is expected to be completed by the end of 2022."
